Operation Catch-Up: My Ambitious 100 Pages a Day Reading Challenge!

Okay, bookish friends, let's have a little heart-to-heart. My TBR pile? Still a formidable mountain range. My guilt about the unread treasures within? Definitely present and accounted for. Life, as you know, has a funny way of filling every spare moment, sometimes leaving my beloved books feeling a little neglected.

But no more! I've decided to embark on a slightly ambitious, perhaps even slightly crazy, reading endeavor: Operation Catch-Up: 100 Pages a Day!

That's right. My goal, starting… well, now, is to carve out enough time in my day to devour at least 100 pages of whatever book I'm currently immersed in. I know, I know, for some of you speed readers, that might sound like a leisurely stroll. But for me, with my tendency to get easily distracted and my love for savoring every sentence, this feels like a genuine commitment.

Why 100 pages? It feels like a significant enough chunk to make real progress through a book, yet (hopefully!) manageable enough to fit into even my busier days here in San Antonio. It's a tangible goal, a daily milestone I can aim for.

My strategy? I'm planning to break it down. Maybe 30 pages during my morning coffee, another 40 during lunch (if I can resist the urge to scroll through social media!), and the final 30 before bed. Audiobooks will likely play a supporting role during commutes and chores, but the core focus will be on actively reading those physical and ebook pages.

I'm excited about the prospect of finally making a dent in my TBR mountain. I'm eager to revisit beloved authors, discover new voices, and get lost in all those stories that have been patiently waiting for their turn. I'm also curious to see how this focused approach impacts my reading experience. Will I feel more immersed? Will I retain more information? Only time (and 100 pages a day!) will tell.

Of course, I'm also aware that life happens. There will be days when 100 pages feels like climbing Everest. There might be book slumps or unexpectedly packed schedules. But the key here is the intention, the conscious effort to prioritize reading and make it a more consistent part of my daily routine.

So, are any of you fellow bookworms feeling the pressure of an overflowing TBR? Have you ever tried a similar reading challenge? I'd love to hear your tips, your experiences, and your words of encouragement (because let's be honest, I might need them!).

Consider this my public declaration! Wish me luck on Operation Catch-Up! I'll be sure to keep you updated on my progress (and hopefully, the shrinking size of my TBR pile!). Let the reading commence!
