My bookshelves are overflowing, my TBR pile is a formidable mountain, and my bank account is… well, let’s just say it’s seen better days. The culprit? An insatiable appetite for books.
It’s a beautiful problem to have, of course. But as I gaze upon the stacks of newly acquired titles, I’m starting to feel a familiar pang of guilt. And a dawning realization: it might be time for another book buying ban.
The thrill of the hunt, the joy of discovering a new favorite, the irresistible allure of a good sale – it’s a dangerous combination for a bookworm. But the truth is, I have more than enough books to keep me occupied for months, if not years.
So, I’m seriously considering hitting pause on my book buying habits. It’s not going to be easy, but I think it’s necessary. I’ll focus on conquering my existing TBR, rediscover the joy of library loans, and maybe even find some hidden gems amongst the books I already own.
Wish me luck. I think I’ll need it.
