50 Books in 2025? Wish Me Luck! (And Maybe Send Coffee)

Okay, friends, I've officially declared war on my TBR pile. I'm setting an ambitious reading goal for 2025: 50 books. Fifty! That's roughly one book a week.

Now, for those of you who know me, you're probably laughing. I'm the queen of starting books and then getting distracted by squirrels (or, you know, the internet). My attention span is shorter than a TikTok video, and my TBR pile resembles a small library.

But this year, I'm determined. I've even invested in a fancy new reading journal (complete with motivational quotes and space for elaborate doodles). I've meticulously categorized my TBR pile (by genre, by author, by "must-read" vs. "guilty pleasure"). I've even created a reading schedule (which I'm already starting to ignore).

My goal isn't just about quantity, though. I want to challenge myself to read outside my comfort zone. No more chick-lit binges! This year, I'm diving into literary fiction, tackling those intimidating classics, and maybe even venturing into the world of poetry (shudder).

Of course, I'm prepared for inevitable setbacks. There will be weeks where life gets in the way. There will be books that I simply can't get into (I'm already dreading that one historical fiction novel that's been collecting dust on my shelf). And let's be honest, there will be plenty of nights where I'd rather watch cat videos on YouTube.

But I'm determined to persevere. I'm going to celebrate every book I finish, no matter how small. I'm going to reward myself with copious amounts of coffee (and maybe a little wine) for every milestone reached. And most importantly, I'm going to remember that reading should be enjoyable.

So, wish me luck, friends. And if you see me wandering around looking dazed and confused, offer me a strong beverage and a sympathetic ear. I might need it.

P.S. If you have any reading tips or book recommendations, please share them in the comments! I could use all the help I can get.
