It's Christmas Day! The house is quiet (for now, at least!), the tree is twinkling, and the smell of gingerbread cookies and hot chocolate is wafting through the air. It's the perfect day to curl up on the couch with a good book and finally tackle that ever-growing TBR pile.
This year has been a whirlwind, and honestly, I haven't had much time for leisurely reading. Work has been demanding, and life in general has felt a bit chaotic. But today, all that changes. I'm officially off-duty, and I plan to make the most of this precious downtime.
First on my reading list: Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. I've been hearing amazing things about it, and I'm eager to see what all the hype is about. After that, I'm thinking I'll dive into The Girl With The Gragon Tattoo by Stieg Larson. It's been sitting on my shelf for ages, and I'm finally ready to give it a try.
Of course, no Christmas Day is complete without a little bit of holiday cheer. So, I'll be sprinkling in some festive reads throughout the day as well. Maybe a cozy mystery set during the holidays, or a heartwarming Christmas romance.
I'm feeling incredibly grateful for this opportunity to relax and recharge. It's a much-needed break, and I can't wait to spend the day lost in the pages of a good book.
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of reading time.
