Boxing Day Bliss: A Reading Retreat

Boxing Day has arrived, and with it, a glorious four days off from work. The Christmas cheer is still lingering, the tree still twinkling, and the promise of cozy reading sessions fills my heart with joy.

This year, I'm determined to make the most of this precious time off. No work emails, no deadlines, no distractions – just pure, unadulterated reading bliss. I've already cleared a space on the sofa, stocked up on hot chocolate and snacks, and gathered a stack of books that have been patiently waiting their turn.

First on my list: Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. A captivating novel that I've been eagerly anticipating. I've heard incredible things about it, and the compelling characters has me completely hooked.

Next up, I'm planning to revisit an old favorite. Sometimes, there's nothing better than revisiting a beloved story and rediscovering the magic all over again.

Of course, I'll also be exploring some new territory. I've been meaning to delve into historical fiction for a while now, and this seems like the perfect opportunity.

These next four days are a gift, a chance to escape the everyday and immerse myself in the worlds created by other writers. I can't wait to see where these stories take me.
