Book Review: The Only One Left by Riley Sager

The Only One Left by Riley Sager

  Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I finished Riley Sager's The Only One Left in August and I'm still reeling from its chilling power. This is one of my favorite books ever, and I can't recommend it enough.

Sager's writing is both evocative and suspenseful, drawing me into the eerie atmosphere of Hope's End from the very first page. The novel's pacing is deliberate, allowing me to gradually unravel the mysteries of the past at my own pace. As Kit begins to piece together the events of that fateful night, I became entangled in a web of lies, deceit, and a family's dark secrets.

One of the things I admired most about this novel is its exploration of the human psyche. Sager delves into the complexities of grief, guilt, and the lengths people will go to protect their loved ones. Lenora's character is a fascinating study of a woman haunted by her past, and her interactions with Kit reveal a complex and enigmatic personality.

The novel's twists and turns are expertly executed, keeping me guessing until the very end. Sager's ability to maintain suspense and tension throughout the story is a testament to his skill as a writer.

The Only One Left is a chilling and thought-provoking novel that will stay with me for a long time. It's a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers and anyone looking for a gripping and suspenseful read. I wholeheartedly recommend it and give it a 5-star rating. This is one of my favorite books ever and a reminder to Riley Sager's incredible talent as a storyteller.

If I could give more stars to this book, I would, that is how much I loved it!
